School Holiday Programme (all ages)	Come into the Tokoroa, Putaruru or Tirau libraries over the school holidays and join in on a 'Trek'. Choose a book from the junior fiction collection. Take it home to read. Then come into your town library and tell us about it. You will have to read four books to reach the end of your journey. Can you do it?????
Summer Reading Programme (4yrs - 11yrs)	The ‘Kiwanis Summer Reading Programme’ is free of charge but booking is required in November. Children are required to read books over the summer holidays; each book read and reported to the librarian will gain them a reward. Once they have gained 4 rewards they will receive an invitation to the finale party where they will receive a book, certificate and a medallion. This programme is a fun way to keep children reading over the long summer holidays.
ODYSSEY TEEN READING PROGRAMME (July - August)	The Odyssey is an incentive based reading programme for teens aged from 11 to 17. If you are a member of the South Waikato Libraries, enjoy reading and like winning prizes, then this programme is for you. There is no charge - it's FREE! Enquire at the Tokoroa Library for information about this excellent programme. RULES Points are gained for each book read. Only teen and adult books from the South Waikato District Libraries will be accepted for reporting. No graphics, non fiction, adult literacy or magazines will be accepted.
